In the refrigeration industry, copper tubing and fittings are referred to by their actual measured outside dimension.  (In the plumbing industry they are referred to by "nominal" dimensions).  All RPARTS copper fittings are wrot rather than cast to eliminate the possibility of porosity. Brass fittings are designed to withstand the pressure of refrigeration service.  Our copper tubing is cleaned and capped for refrigeration applications.
