Diode - Relay Suppression, Combining/Or'ing

These diode are used as a suppression diode across the coil of a relay to eliminate the inductive spike that results at the rising and falling edges of energizing and de-energizing a relay.

These diodes can also be used for combining signals in an OR'ing logic configuration.
